The Town and People of Saxmundham have ownership of this site, and use it to inform the World about what is here, what is going on, what to see and where to stay. It also contains links to various local organisations and businesses that may be helpful to the Visitor and Resident alike. It is the central point of reference for the Town. Saxmundham is a Market Town in the eastern county of Suffolk, England, five miles from the coast. It enjoys rolling countryside and winding lanes as well as the North Sea beaches. It has a long history as an inhabited area, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. It has had a market charter since at least 1272 AD and continues this tradition every Wednesday.
